Why British People Would Preferably Expend Money on Phones Rather Then Holiday

This is has been quite a bad year for the economy, people have been cutting down on their spending, the credit crunch has really struck everyone and a lot of families have lost their job as well as their home.

The travel sector has suffered a big volume, there are so many families that have not even thought about going away this year because they do not have the money. But I am going to tell you a personal story that I experienced as to why British people would rather spend their hard earned money on a new mobile or contract phone.

Ok my phone had had it and I was topping up approximately 40 per calendar month, so I decided to myself why not alternatively go and get a free handset and free minutes for that price. So I went to my local store. To my surprise there were tons of people literally waiting to get a contract phone. I really wanted to keep my current phone number and have the ability to 0800 numbers from my mobile. But it just would not work out that way.

Anyhow while I was talking to the sales guy, he said to me how shocked he was at how busy the week had been, he said he cant believe there is a credit crisis. After a study it was shown that 41% would cut down on DIY, 41% on holidays, 16% on Television subscriptions and 10% on broadband services.

An average of 310.71 was spent on average per household on internet services last year, compared to 11.37 in 2007.

So there you have it all in one well formed and great article, you can see the pure amount that technology has developed, and people would rather spend their money and cash on handsets.
