Snoots don’t ever dig them. They never play God.
They’re blue collar. Many cheers for them. You can sing their songs. And they don’t quit. They say they love their fans, and I for one believe them.

while you did indeed list 3 of the greatest albums of all time, the Kinks later work stands up very well, Father Christmas, State of Confusion, Around the Dial, Do it Again, Sleepwalker, Scattered, and especially the albums of Schoolboys in Disgrace and Soap Opera deserve additional hearings, Ray’s wit really shines through from 1975-1977 in those great rock albums.

Arthur:Or the Decline and Fall of The British Empire is the best album. That, Village Green Prservation Society and Lola VS Powerman are the only reason why the kinks don’t suck. The stuff they tried to push in the 80’s was bad. Ray Davies just played in my city lastnight i missed it but damn, it would have been awesome

maskman90, you look at it like that now, but for people in the 60’s it was the same thing. How do you think MC5 or the Stooges got their sound? They were sick of bands like the beatles,Kinks, Monkeys etc. so they took rock n roll and kicked its ass.
