Does Las Vegas have too many casinos, or should they just build some more?

Las Vegas is filled with luxuries and is famous for its casinos. Las Vegas has always offered us all kinds of different games of “luck” to play in the most expensive and luxurious surroundings. Is there too many of them though… Are they slowly consuming all of Vegas, or have they already?

On Monday a new casino called the Sand’s Bethlehem Casino opened up bringing the count of casinos in Las Vegas to 122. Now there are about 200,000 slot machines in Vegas as well. Is it just me or is this slightly ridiculous number. Somwhere around the large figure of 36 million people visit sunny Vegas every year. Casinos may be the first thing that spring to mind in Las Vegas, but its not the only reason people go there. People also go to this wondrous place to get married, about 300 Las Vegas weddings are conducted every day.

That’s a lot of gambling and a lot of weddings, the casinos do contribute a large amount of recreational activities. What do we think about 120 casinos is that too much, it might just be the right amount. Las Vegas is known for some of it’s most famous casinos like Caesars Palace and the Bellagio. Vegas gathers a large amount of revenue from these casinos. People are packing in the Florida Villas idea and moving to the gambling nation.

Now that British Airways have set up a direct flight to Las Vegas from Heathrow I am sure that the visiting rates will be increasing as well. Well is stopping the construction of casinos in Vegas the best way to go? Vegas is the gambling capital, they are going to be constructing more new casinos all the time. At some point in the future there won’t be any need for trhe construction on more casinos because there will be enough throughout Vegas. For now, the casinos available to us provide all the fun we need. Las Vegas holidays will be growing from year to year and so will the amount we spend in the casino.
