Diversity and choice at hotels in Mallorca

Thousands of visitors flock to the island of Mallorca to soak up its delights on their annual getaway. Unsurprisingly, over the years the destination has developed a huge range of facilities for tourists, including hotels that are suitable for all styles of holidaying. More matter what your accommodation wants while on holiday, whether its a family resort, a party apartment or a quiet retreat, the hotels in Mallorca offer a variety and choice that is hard to beat.

Family hotels

Mallorca has a number of family-friendly accommodations, from villas to apartments or all-inclusive resorts. For convenience, all inclusive packages can be a good choice, with all meals, snacks and drinks covered in the price. The island’s family resorts make sure that everyone is kept busy, with parents being able to enjoy rest and relaxation by the pool while children can enjoy the special entertainments on offer at the kids clubs and play areas. The beaches at Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicence both have a gently sloping beach area and a number of child-friendly Mallorca hotels, restaurants and shops.

Party hotels

Holidaymakers who are more interested in what goes on after dark will find a vibrant night time scene in Mallorca, which is renowned for its many bars and clubs. While Palma is a hotspot, where party animals flock to the “Paseo Maritimo” to dance the night away, visitors to the island can find numerous bars, discos and clubs scattered throughout most of the resort areas. The resort area of Magaluf, however, where the famous clubs BCM and Bananas are located, is known as the “clubbing capital” of Mallorca. Or for a more unusual club experience, head to Virtual Club in Illetas. The club is located in the caves along Illeta’s seafront, where visitors can sample fine cuisine in the onsite restaurant as well as dance the night away in the disco. Wherever you decide to stay in Mallorca, though, odds are good that you will find a thriving nightlife.

Quiet retreats

Mallorca’s northern and eastern coasts are where most of the busy resorts and new development can be found, but there are still some quiet options, such as in Cala Agulla and Cala Mesquida. Both of these areas have been recognised for their environmental and ecological value. You can also skip the beach resorts and look for hotels in Mallorca that are located in the Tramuntana mountain range. Of course, those who visit during the off peak months will be able to enjoy a quieter side to Mallorca at a wide range of hotels as the high season crowds disappear. As an added benefit, travellers can take advantage of off peak prices at the same time.
