“Travel Tips For Budget Vacation”

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Unless you are independently wealthy and money is no object, chances are you’ll be interested in tips for squeezing the most value out of your limited vacation dollars.

When planning for a particular destination, especially a popular one like Orlando, Europe or the Caribbean, it pays to plan ahead…way ahead.

Doing so can save you both time and money.

Try taking your holiday in the off season or shoulder season. Prices on airline tickets, car rentals, and cruises often drop significantly after the normal travel season has passed.

If you have friends or relatives near your chosen destination, consider asking them for a place to say.

When taking this approach, however, be sure to chip in by doing chores, paying for groceries, filling the gas tank on the family car, don’t be a cheap skate.

For most destinations, this period runs from February through May and September through December. The one exception to this rule is the week before Thanksgiving and the two weeks leading up to Christmas, when prices shoot back up.

When traveling by car, car be sure to pack lots of ready to eat food in the car to avoid expensive restaurant and fast food meals. When eating in restaurants, try to avoid those that obviously cater to the tourist crowd.

When planning your hotel stays, try to strike a balance between a convenient location and a low price. Compare the amenities of the hotels carefully.

For a low cost alternative to expensive hotels, consider renting an RV for your next vacation. When renting a car, choose the smallest, most fuel efficient vehicle you can find.

Not only are compact and subcompact cars cheaper to rent, but they are cheaper to operate as well.

If traveling in your own car, be sure it is up for the trip.

Many large cities in the United States and Europe have such good bus, subway and train systems that a personal car is unnecessary. Campgrounds are easy to find and inexpensive.

In addition, many campgrounds offer great amenities, such as swimming pools, sports and every movie nights.

Planning activities that do not need a lot of money to enjoy, such as hiking and swimming, is a good way to maximize value and minimize vacation spending.

Hawaiian Vacation on a Budget Tips

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Hawaii IslandAre you wondering if preparation for a Hawaiian vacation on a budget is even possible? A lot of Hawaii Island natives and regular visitors have discovered a lot of outstanding money-saving tips for extending your dollar when on a vacation to the Hawaiian Islands.

Vacation packages can be found at a discount rate over booking separate airline tickets, hotel accommodations and a rental car.

Renting a vacation house, bungalow, or condo is a great deal more affordable than reserving a deluxe hotel. You are able to vacation with a friend or some other family and divide the price of living accommodations because most vacation houses sleep 4-6 people.

Cut back your dining expenses by dining in your room, fixing your own breakfast and lunch, or looking for restaurants wherever the local patronize. Pack a picnic and eat dinner along the beach while the sun sets or pack granola and fresh fruit to eat on a morning hike.

You can also dine out by selecting items from the lunch wagons dotting the beaches of the islands. Shopping at the local farmers markets can save you a small fortune in food costs.

Limit the number of paid tours you participate in during your stay. Hawaiian locals are very friendly and will share information readily when questioned. You can ask around to find the best places to visit and the must-see sights of Hawaii.

Hawaii often has the highest prices for gasoline in the U.S. Limit your amount of travel and fuel up your rental car in large cities rather than small towns to get the best prices.

Look up attractions before you leave home and plan a rough itinerary for your trip ahead of time. You can find recommendations and reviews written by other tourists online.

Hiking, snorkeling, and lounging on the beach are low cost activities to occupy your time.

Consider purchasing an entertainment book from www.entertainment.com for your Hawaii trip.

When you get to Hawaii, pick up several free brochures offered at the airport, hotels and local attractions. They often contain valuable coupons and unadvertised discounts for popular attractions and restaurants.

Begin and end your Hawaiian vacation in the middle of the week. Flights are cheaper mid-week than on weekends.

Get a detailed map of the island once you pick up your rental car. Most rental agencies will provide one for free- but only if you request it.

Fill up your own water bottles before venturing out for the day.

Avoid purchasing souvenirs at the local stands and shops. The local WalMart carries Hawaiian souvenirs at reasonable prices.

If you have a military ID, ask about military discounts. Many places honor a military discount if you ask for it. AAA and AARP too.

Recently, Global Network Resorts chose to cut prices on their travel packages and introduce a way for people who were interested in running their own business to join the exciting world of travel. By offering their packages for sale through a network marketing program, more people have an opportunity to enjoy luxury vacations around the world without any additional fees.

This opportunity is an outgrown of over 20 years in the travel industry, arranging vacation packages for club members who never though about receiving anything in return except for a great deal on a great vacation. With the new multilevel marketing plan, the packages are being marketed around the world and if someone would choose to become a marketer for Global Network Resorts, they can often earn enough on a couple of sale to more than pay for their own vacation package and have money left over.

Those looking to ditch a full time job and have the freedom of working their own h ours from their own home office, selling packages for Global Network Resorts may be something they are interested in doing. Many who have enjoyed the benefits of discounted vacations through the company, now work as sale associates for them, being able to offer first-hand experience with their trips.

The company does not only sell discounts on four and five star hotels. It also offers great pricing on cruises and other types of vacations as well, to all corners of the world. Not only can members qualify to sell the vacations, they can also take them themselves for up to six people on their membership, usually family members. Some people use the travel discounts to attend company meetings, using discounted airfare to reach their destination and discounted hotels to stay in luxury while on the road.

As a multilevel marketing program, the Global MLM network is mostly comprised of people who have used the travel discounts before the company gave them the chance to earn money. Today more people are signing up for the prospect to make additional income while receiving great travel deals to locations they may have never had the opportunity to visit. It also gives them the opportunity to make money on vacations and by sharing their experiences with others and accumulating hot leads, the marketing of the program is aimed at families who love to travel and want more for their money.

There are many companies selling vacation packages in which they company makes all of the arrangements. This type of arrangement may have some built-in deficiencies as could take a few days to make sure everything has been confirmed. By the you learn a change may be required, it may be too late to reschedule your vacation.

With Global Networks, you contact the resort and book you own reservations and with no black out dates, it should be easy to fit them into your schedule, not someone else. Once you have the confirmation and the hotel has your information, all you need to do is show up and present your travel discount card and enjoy your stay.
