It was only a few years until Bulgaria caught up and became a major holiday destination. Actually, Bulgaria has long been a prominent tourist destination. Most of the tourists used to arrive from the former communist bloc countries. Much has changed – there are now millions of international travellers pouring into Bulgaria’s beach and ski destinations annually. Many are enjoying a village holiday in Bulgaria.
About sixty percent of Bulgaria’s territory is covered with mountains ranges separated by long valleys, dotted with hundreds of small towns and village. Many of these towns and villages have made a major push to become attractive tourist destinations and many of them have been successful. Actually, this is the preferred type of travel for most Bulgarians. This has become known as village tourism, although the destinations are not always in villages. International tourists are increasingly aware of this form of holiday travel.
A typical village tourism (?????? ??????? in Bulgarian) outing is over the weekend but it could also last a week or longer. The destination is typically a village or close to a small town where holiday seekers can enjoy natural beauty. This could be next to a mountain or a lake as is the case with the Central Balkan area. There might be some cultural attractions nearby such as monasteries or a town with a renovated historic center such as Lovetch, Veliko Turnovo or Plovdiv. So, the appeal of village tourism is that it puts one squarely into nature but, by virtue of Bulgaria being a relatively small country with short distances, one is also very close to various attractions. Sometimes, it is the village part that is the main attraction. Rural life in Bulgaria is still reminiscent of old times with farm animals, unpaved roads, horse carriages, and old-timers gathered in basic pubs.
Another appeal, and that’s very relevant to many Bulgarians who live on a budget, is that village tourism is relatively inexpensive. Out of the main cities, the industry offers hundreds of private rental villas as well as B&B’s run by their owners. They have 3 to 4 rooms and a small restaurant, essentially a B&B. Staying in the guest houses or renting a villa cost a fraction of what it cost to book a hotel room or a private apartment in one of the main resort.

Catalina Island is a rugged and beautiful part of the Channel Island archipelago located just off the southern California coast. If you have lived in California for any time, you have likely heard about it, but probably don’t realize just how accessible it really is. Visitors to southern California should consider coordinating a day trip or weekend stop-over to Catalina Island.
Catalina Island is often compared to small Mediterranean coastal towns and has a distinclty different feel than the rest of California. Residents of the two main coastal towns of Avalon and Two Harbors are friendly and enjoy the slow pace of island life. All supplies for the residents and vistors to Catalina Island must be imported by boat or supply barge, making gas, food, building materials and everything else more expensive. Alimited number of vehicles are permitted on the island so residents use modified gof-carts to get around, which adds to the charm, and provides a dramatic change from the congested mainland freeways.
Upon arriving, vacationers will begin to discover a wide array of activities and a rich history and island culture. Catalina island has many historic secrets to reveal including being home to the first golf course in souther California, the birthplace of modern sport fishing, beach-combing bison herds, as well as the location for the famous Wrigley Estate.
Catalina island’s land and near-shore waters is protected by the Catalina Island Conservancy, are comitted to preserving the original animal and plant life, as well as protecting the bison herds. Catalina’s rich waters contain a bio-diverse abundance of marine life, making it a prime destination for biologists, eco-tourists, and scuba divers.
Planning your Catalina Island Vacation is surprisingly easy. Getting to the island is possible by ferry, helicopter, or private charter boat. The catalina ferry service is the most convenient, with many departure/return trips and is inexpensive. There are two main Catalina ferry companies that offer year-round service, with increased trips during the busy summer months.
Most island visitors take the Catalina Express, a high speed catamaran which departs from Long Beach and crosses the channel in approximately an hour. Departing from Newport Beach, the Catalina Flyer is another triple decker high-speed catamaran the also makes the short one-hour trip. Whichever Catalina Ferry you choose, the ride is usually smooth and comfortable with beautiful views of the southern California coast and frequent schools of dolphins, and migrating whales to make your voyage exciting and memorable!

Money is the one problem that we all have to deal with, and now the recession is coming in full pelt, can we really afford to go on a luxury holiday. The holiday market however is showing that the prices are dropping, and they are giving us more diversity, making the decision easier for us.
However does this really help us, although holiday prices are coming down the odds are we still won’t be able to afford luxury holidays. We have bills to pay and other considerations where money is affected, but how much will going on a luxury holiday really set you back? If you look around you will find more and more deals coming in, with travel agents trying to send you all over the world for as little as possible, even on Caribbean holidays where you have the clean white beaches and 5 star hotels, all of the pampering that you would ever need from a holiday.
Looking around for the best deals will help, but because competition is so tough they are all bringing their prices down just keep up with each other. Even if bills are taking up most of our money, one of the mopst important things for us to do is get away from everything every now and then, and luxury holidays are now cheaper and more available.
Some people are even having their weddings abroad because the prices are even cheaper abroad than they are at home, this shows that holidays at home might not be that cheap either. The best way to get away from the stress of it all is to go on a luxury holiday and now it’s becoming more available to us. So yes luxury holidays are becoming easier to afford, and it will help with the stress of home and work life, but money is money, so what will you do?

We spend a lot of time traveling. Whether we’re going home to see our parents, going on holiday, or simply going to school, we still spend a lot of time with people we don’t know, making small talk or just looking out the window.
Not all people find it easy to stay in one place, with nothing to keep them occupied, and so, most try to sleep or read a book. Not exactly an easy feat, considering the ambient noise and large number of people around. So, how do you make time pass quicker?
Using the SanDisk Sansa e250 is one option to help the hours pass by faster than just sitting around bored. The hours will just fly by when you’re watching your favorite show, or listening to your favorite music, or browsing around on your player looking for something to do. If your music collection just doesn’t do it for you, the player also has a built in FM tuner, to listen to the radio.
If you’re finding it weird to wear headphones in a public place such as the train or bus, take a look around and see how many people are wearing them. You might be surprised. Since headphones have become better and better, noise isolation is starting to be an important factor as well. Good headphones never betray your musical taste to the person sitting next to you.
Make traveling an enjoyable experience by investing in the tiny, but the feature packed player. You certainly won’t regret it, and your ears will love you for it. Why listen to other travelers when you enjoy yourself by listening to your music? Try it out. You won’t be able to travel without it, afterwards!

In this current time period of digital cameras, you probably think all you need to do is point and click to take great photos. Not so fast. The truth is you can have the top of the line digital camera, but if you don’t know what you are doing, you will take lousy shots.
I would love to give you some good tips to help you improve your photography skills. These tips are coming from years of experience as a San Diego wedding photographer. These tips are all about the lighting and they will some of biggest reasons for you success in taking photographs.
First tip in lighting. Now if the shots you are taking are outdoors during the day, some of the best lighting possible will be the natural sunlight. Now you are probably thinking, “that’s easy, when you are a San Diego photographer since it is always shiny there”, when in actuality really bright sunlight can cast harsh shadows.Or it could blur the details of faces when the sun is overhead.
Overall, what you will want to do is to have the sun behind you when you take most of the shots. This stops any harsh shadows in your photo caused by the sun. But there will be some instances when you want to try different angles when you are trying to get some shadows into the shots.
Now that we have addressed the shots during the day, what about those night shots?
The key technique for night photos is actually turning off your flash.Of course if it is absolutely dark with no light you wil need it, but for times when there is some lighting, use the lighting around you, but make sure the shutter speeds are slow enough to let light in.Another thing, make sure you keep a steady hand when you take your shot or you can blur the photos.Applying these couple of techniques will make a dramatic difference for those nights shots you take.
The third and final tip with using lighting to capture great photos is the golden hour. There is this time that photographers like to call the golden hour or magic hour, and that is sunrise and sunset.
It is during this time of day when you will capture great shots that capture more warmer colors. You’re going to be able to capture the golden lighting you won’t find during any other part of the day.
There you have it. Probably the biggest key in taking greatshots is to make sure you take advantage of the natural lighting. Knowing what techniques to use for different parts of the day, or just scheduling a photo shoots to capture those times of day will help you become an excellent photographer.
